Dad's Birthday Bash

Dad's birthday started out with a present left on the porch from the Soderquists. Here is dad modeling his new present as Santa Chef. Dad has mad cooking skills.

In the afternoon we bundled up in the Expedition and made the trek to Santa's House. It was snowy and cold. Mom and Dad jumped on Santa's sleigh for a picture. Dad even received birthday wishes from Santa Claus.

We sang happy birthday and Dad made his wish and blew out the candles with some help.

As part of Dad's birthday bash we drove to the Palace to see some Detroit basketball as the Pistons played the Bulls. We cheered the Pistons on to victory and they won 102-98. After the game it was snowing hard and it took us 3 1/2 hours to drive home to Midland. It was quite the birthday adventure.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD - YOU ARE THE BEST DAD - WE ALL LOVE YOU!

  2. Nice job, David, on your very first post. I had a good time watching you do it...as frustrating as it was for you, it was hilarious to me. Can't wait for your next installment...maybe you can come in under 2 hours this time. Set a goal! Love you babe, and welcome to the blogging world.
